Well I did NOT jump on the scale today for a reason…. I want people to understand that the scale is not the ultimate tell all if you are trying to judge success. Sometimes it’s the simple things like trying on your clothes and realizing they are loose or way too big, sometimes you just need to take a tape measure and compare where you were and where you are – so when you hit that time the sales are not moving remember THAT is just a number…. always look at the bigger picture!
Check this photo out… look at all of the room I have in my jeans (and notice the lack of belly sticking out out like at that T-ball game in April!)
Remember that getting slimmer does not always mean losing weight when you hop on the scale and you can actually be getting “thinner” but not see your scale move. Why you ask? Well you may be losing body fat and gaining muscle!
Your weight may stay the same, even as you lose inches, which means you are without a doubt headed in the right direction. Knowing the difference between losing weight and losing body fat can change how you look at your own body and your progress!!!!
