Undeniably, supplements and use of products is one of the things many people who do Keto cannot seem to agree upon. But this still leaves the question, can you or should you supplements when following the ketogenic way of eating?
The short answer here is while they are not mandatory Y-E-S, yes you should use them.
Science shows unquestionably that the ketogenic diet is an effective way to lower blood sugar in diabetes. In addition, it can control insulin resistance and optimize cholesterol. One of the most common questions we get from people is how to utilize supplements to further reap the benefits of a carbohydrate-restricted diet.
On a ketogenic diet, you are specifically cutting carbohydrates and sugar. Once your body is in a state of ketosis, it is then relying on fat for energy. Sounds easy enough, right? Well, not exactly. When your body runs on a high carb intake and you take that away, then it is possible you might experience what is known as the keto flu.. Undoubtedly it subsides, however until then your body feels achy and you are fatigued and irritable.
There is really no right or wrong here. Do what works best for YOU. No one should judge anyone else on what options work best for them . We are all unique and as a result we should do what we feel accelerates and enhances our journey.
